The Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists are pleased to announce details of Members’ Day 2017.
Following a successful 2016 event, we’re returning to London’s Barbican Centre on Thursday 6th April for a full day’s seminar.
This year’s event will see industry experts presenting on new developments and industry innovations including Dr Claire Stone (i2 Analytical UK), Richard Ghail (Imperial College), Dr Andrew Smith (Coffey Geotechnics) and Professor Russell Thomas (WSP | Parsons Brickerhoff).
Confirmed presentations for this year include Gasworks Redevelopment Projects from around Europe, Asbestos in Soils: Innovative Laboratory Techniques to Assist in Evaluating Risk, A645 Newland Bridge Major Repair Works and How the AGS is Helping to Build a Clearer Picture of London’s Anomalous Ground.

We’re also pleased to announce that a select number of Members will be presented with a commendation award to thank them for their years of work and dedication to the AGS. This new annual awards segment will take place during the Annual General Meeting.
AGS Members’ Day is open to both Members and non-Members of the AGS. There is no cost for AGS Members to attend, however non-Members will be required to pay £95 (plus VAT) per delegate.
