pH under AGS4

Philip Child - 30/06/2010

Apologies if I have the wrong end of the stick, but I'm a little confused as to how tests for pH might correctly be handled under AGS4. ERES_RUNI is a required field and as such a valid unit value must be recorded for any (pH) test result. However, it could be argued that pH itself is a unitless measure, although some sources do talk of "pH units", and as such to record data in ERES_RUNI may actually be incorrect. Would it therefore be helpful to adopt "pH units" as a formal unit in the ABBR table or is there already a solution in place? Many thanks.

We realised there would cases like this, so use a unit of "-", with a definition of "No unit".

Thanks Jackie. If this is the correct solution could the "-" UNIT be added to the downloadable file representing the full ABBR list, please?
