This note has been prepared based on a review of Clause 4 titled ‘Slopes, cuttings, and embankments’, of the draft prEN 1997-3:2023. A summary of the main requirements is discussed. Also, a brief comparison between existing and new requirements of Eurocode 7 (EC7) for slopes, cuttings and embankments is attempted, with emphasis placed on differences.
