Recent changes in the legal landscape have brought the topic of document retention back to the forefront of professionals’ minds.  The introduction of statute (namely the Building Safety Act 2022) which increases the periods in which claims under certain statute can be brought, along with high profile public enquiries, has underlined the importance of document retention and has increased the need for professionals to consider the sufficiency of their document retention policy.
